Overview

The Workforce Dashboard has been designed to give you quick and easy high level information about your team with five main areas to focus on to help reduce at risks areas in your department

The five areas to focus on are Excessive Annual Leave, Sick Leave Paid (R12), Sick Leave Unpaid (R12), Alternate Days and Voluntary Attrition (R12)

The report is available to Store Managers and Regional Managers in stores and Group Executive Team in Support Office




How to Log in

You can access MicroStrategy by clicking the link http://microstrategy/Microstrategy/asp/Main.aspx

Enter your User name and Password (this will be your network login, also select LDAP option)


 


Once you have logged in 'click' on the People Support folder




Then 'click' on Shared Reports




Then 'click' on Workforce




Store Managers will have access to People Support Workforce Dashboard and be able to view the Store Dashboards in their Brand and their Direct Reports
Regional Managers will have access to People Support Workforce Dashboard and able to view Store Dashboards in all Brands and their Direct Reports





Group Executive Team in Support Office will have access to People Support Workforce Dashboard and also People Support Workforce by Brands Dashboard

     



There are four filters across the top of Dashboard - Month Date, Group, Regions and Locations

Filters will have a limited access as detailed above fore each role

The 'Current Employee Details' link will show you more information by line about your Direct Reports
 

Headcount - Total number of team members paid and employed by TWG on Full, Part, Fixed-term or Casual Contract
FTE (Full Time Equivalents) - Calculated by dividing the total number of hours worked by a 40 hour week
Excessive Annual Leave - Percentage of team members who have a Leave balance of more than 4 weeks entitled leave
Sick Leave Paid (R12) - Average number of Paid Sick leave days that each full time person has taken over the previous rolling 12 months
Sick Leave Unpaid (R12) - Average number of Unpaid Sick leave days that each full time person has taken over the previous rolling 12 months
Alternate Days - Outstanding Alternate Days divided by Headcount. Alternate days are days off in lieu of working a public holiday
Total Attrition (R12) - Total number of Leavers over the previous rolling 12 months divided by the average Headcount (excludes Temporary employees)
Voluntary Attrition (R12) - Total number of Resignations and Abandonment of Employment over the previous 12 months divided by the average Headcount (excludes Temporary employees) 
Involuntary Attrition (R12) - Total number of 90 Day trial, dismissal, convictions, redundancy, death, managed exits over the previous rolling 12 moths divided by the average Headcount (excludes Temporary employees)

Excessive Annual Leave - Red is 5% +, Amber is 0.1%-4.99%, Green is 0%
Sick Leave Paid (R12) - Red is 6 Days +, Amber is 4.01 - 5.99 Days, Green is 4 Days or less
Sick Leave Unpaid (R12) - Red is 2 Days +, Amber is 0.50 - 1.99 Days, Green is 0 - 0.49 Days
Alternate Days - Red is 1.50 Days +, Amber is 0.50 - 1.49 Days, Green is 0 - 0.49 Days
Voluntary Attrition (R12) - Red is 25% +, Amber is 0 - 9.99% and 20 - 24.99%, Green is 10 - 19.99%



Tips to reduce the at risk areas


Excessive Annual Leave
  • Have you had a conversation with your team member about taking leave
  • Have you completed a roster in advance to ensure the leave can be covered


Sick Leave Paid and Unpaid
  • Have you completed a Welcome Back to Work letter for your team member who has been absent
  • Have you checked on the specific days your team member has been off to see if there is a re-occurring pattern and had a conversation with them


Voluntary Attrition
  • Have you completed the recruitment process correctly to ensure all participants have been given the opportunity to apply
  • Have you employed from outside of your current area to ensure some new perspectives can be brought in
  • Have you completed the On-boarding process from your new team member
