TWG provides all Team Members with items as part of the required uniform. There are also pieces that Team Members need to provide themselves (pants, skirt, shorts and shoes). TWG Team Members are entitled to purchase these items at a discounted rate (cost + GST). This benefit applies to all TWG Team Members, not just The Warehouse.
Rules
1. Any temporary/permanent TWG Team Member can purchase uniform pieces (i.e. black pants, shorts, skirts, shoes/boots) at the discounted price (cost + GST).
2. The TWG Workwear Benefit is available to TWG Team Members from any brand – it is no longer limited to just TWL Team Members.
3. The TWG Workwear Benefit is available to TWG Team Members only. This explicitly means that it is not available to all TWG Team Discount Cardholders (i.e. parents, partners, lifetime cardholders no longer employed).
4. There is a two-step verification process: the TWG Team Member must produce their Team Card AND a recent payslip (either printed out or on a smartphone/tablet). If only one form of verification is presented, then that TWG Team Member should expect to pay the full retail price.
5. Authorised stock purchased as part of the TWG Workwear Benefit can only be processed using the ‘Staff Uniform at Cost’ override reason. This will automatically populate the price of the item (with GST included).
6. All items of uniform purchased must be black, unbranded and professional in appearance.
7. TWG Team Member uniform items are exempt from having team discount applied on top; however, the team card must be swiped/scanned – for audit purposes.
8. Long sleeved tops are not included under our TWG Workwear Benefit policy.
9. Team members on “casual” contracts are not included under our TWG Workwear Benefit policy. In saying that, TWL casual Team Members can use the store team discount card on the day they are working, in the store they are working in, as per pre-existing rules.
