Introduction
An employee wishing to resign from a position with the Company must provide a letter of resignation to their manager.
Notice Period
Unless a longer period of notice is specified in an employee’s appointment letter, two weeks written notice of intention to resign is required. Employees that are covered by a Trial Period clause in their Individual Employment Agreement and who intend to resign during the trial period must give the Company one (1) week's written notice of their intention to resign.
If an employee does not give the required notice, the un-worked period of notice will be deducted from the employee’s final pay.
The notice period may not be reduced by offsetting accrued annual leave entitlements, unless otherwise agreed between the employee and the Company,
Advising Payroll of Resignation
The employee’s manager will forward the employee’s letter of resignation to People Support with 48 hours of receipt from the employee. The employee’s manager will then complete a Termination Of Employment Form on the employee’s last day of work and forward this to People Support.
