Personal Cash

Introduction

Under no circumstances will any employee be permitted to cash either their own personal cheque, a third party cheque or use any credit cards to obtain cash from any of the Company's cash registers.

Obtaining Cash through EFTPOS

Personal cash can be obtained through EFTPOS only if the manager processes the transaction through the cash register. Under no circumstances should an employee complete this transaction themselves.

Taking Cash from the Till

The Company does not allow any cash to be taken from the till for personal use and this includes IOUs.

Manager’s Responsibility

It is the manager’s responsibility to ensure that each employee at their store is aware of this policy and that the policy is strictly enforced with the employees at their store.

Breach of Policy

Should any of these conditions be violated then the Company will deem such behaviour as serious misconduct and can result in dismissal without notice.

Financial Hardship

If an employee is experiencing unexpected serious financial hardship then this matter should be discussed immediately with his/her manager.
