Duties
Your position and hours of work are as specified in your appointment letter. Unless prevented by ill health or accident and except during leave you will, diligently, faithfully, and to the best of your abilities at all times, devote your working time to carrying out the duties of the position.
The Company is strongly committed to providing you with opportunities to relax and rest periodically during the day providing the Company’s commitment to customer service is upheld. You are entitled to take meal and tea/coffee breaks at the times scheduled by your manager. During each full day’s work (eight hours) there will be two paid fifteen minute rest periods and an unpaid half hour lunch break. If you work more than five hours after your lunch break you are entitled to a half hour unpaid meal break provided work will continue thereafter.
You must carry out instructions given by your manager or any person delegated to give such instruction. However, no person shall be required to do anything which might endanger themselves or any other person, breach the law, the terms of your employment or Company Policies and Procedures. You are not to undertake other activities without the prior approval of your manager. Failing to follow instructions will be considered serious misconduct. You must not deliberately or carelessly do anything that will result in loss and/or damage to the Company’s property and/or stock or result in poor customer service or bring the Company into disrepute.
